Introduction to Fermentation Class: Kraut & Kombucha

1.5hours, light supper included. 

At Fairmental, we believe that fermented foods can and should be part of our everyday diet. As well as adding incredible flavour and texture to dishes, fermented foods are known to have wonderful health benefits: for immunity, digestive health and, in turn, mental health. 

At our new fermentation lab & deli in Dublin 4, we offer a retail range of great tasting ferments to enjoy at home and a food offering that showcases our ferments in well known and loved dishes. 

Now we welcome you to join us for this hands on, introduction to fermentation class. A great way to learn more about fermentation and how you can try it at home!  During the 1.5 hour class, students will learn about the fermentation process and the techniques behind creating Kraut and Kombucha. Students will have the opportunity to make their own kraut, with a jar provided, to bring home and continue their fermenting journey. Next, Val will lead the students in a demo on brewing kombucha before a Q&A. The afternoon will end with a light supper prepared by Val and the team at Fairmental and a complimentary glass of kombucha. 

 

Class Date: Sat 11th March. 3.30-5pm 

Cost: €70 per person (To provide the best experience, class size is limited to 12 guests)
