THE LUDOVICO EINAUDI EUROPEAN TOUR, DUE TO BEGIN THIS WEEK WITH CONCERTS IN DUBLIN AND MANCHESTER, HAS HAD TO BE POSTPONED BECAUSE OF THIS WEEKEND’S ITALIAN GOVERNMENT DECREE BANNING TRAVEL FROM THE NORTH OF ITALY, WHERE THE GROUP LIVE.
LUDOVICO’S TEAM SAY “THE CURRENT HEALTH EMERGENCY THAT HAS TURNED OUR LIVES UPSIDE DOWN IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS MEANS SADLY THAT THE TOUR MUST BE POSTPONED UNTIL LATER THIS YEAR, WHEN WE TRUST THAT CONDITIONS OF SAFETY AND SERENITY WILL HAVE BEEN RESTORED. ONCE THE STORM HAS PASSED, WE WILL RETURN TO REJOICE IN THE MUSIC AND TO MEET YOU AGAIN. THANK YOU ALL”
THIS DECISION WAS MADE LAST NIGHT, WHEN IT BECAME CLEAR THAT THERE WAS NO WAY OF TOURING THIS MONTH. WE EXPECT TO ANNOUNCE REVISED DATES WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK.
SECOND DATE ADDED DUE TO HUGE DEMAND
TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY 13 DECEMBER, 10am
Ludovico Einaudi returns to the Dublin three and a half years after the release of Elements and a sensational world tour, this time with his new project Seven Days Walking.
Seven Days Walking is divided into seven episodes, focussing on several main themes which vary each time.
‘The idea first came to me as I was listening to the recordings of the first sessions: each version seemed to me to have its own personality, with subtleties so distinct from one another that I was unable to choose which I preferred. I associated everything with walking, with the experience of following the same routes over and over, discovering new details each time.’ (Einaudi)
Ludovico plays piano with Redi Hasa on cello and Federico Mecozzi on violin.
Prices include a €1.00 facilities fee per ticket. Telephone & Internet bookings are subject to a maximum s/c of €7.15 per ticket / Agents €3.40
