Boxing in Dublin
The Irish Amateur Boxing Association’s (IABA) established in 1911. Their main role is to develop, foster and control amateur boxing in the 32 counties of Ireland. The IABA is committed to provide the environment, in which support and opportunities given to our athletes, coaches and clubs excel, and in doing so to increase participation and improve performance in Irish Boxing. The IABA operates from the National Stadium in Dublin, the first purpose built amateur boxing stadium in the world and there are currently over 375 clubs affiliated to the association across the island of Ireland (North and South). It is a volunteer led organization where the hard work, dedication and significant time afforded by each member has contributed to the growing success of the sport in Ireland. The sport of boxing originally flourished in the 1920’s as the newly formed Government viewed boxing as an ideal way to promote the fledgling Country and gain International recognition. Over its illustrious 104 year history, boxing has grown to become one of the most successfully amateur sports in Ireland. Smithfield Amateur Boxing Club is the premier boxing club in Dublin, they have around 60 members in total ranging from 9 year olds to people close to their 60s. However, because there are so many groups training at different times, the hall never gets too packed. They also have a decent coach to pupil ratio, meaning that no one gets neglected. No boxer/fitness enthusiast is ever thought of as taking up space in the club. St Matthews club provides young people and youths the opportunity to engage in the sport of boxing in a fun and safe environment. Many of the young people who have passed through St Matthews Boxing Club will testify that it enabled them to better integrate into society and gave them a greater level of confidence to create a better future for themselves. St Matthews is not just about producing champion boxers, one of their mottos is to “Make Champions of Individuals”.
At Undredog Boxing their certified coaches are boxers who grew up wearing boxing gloves, competed nationally and internationally and won multiple titles. Their personal trainers are experienced conditioning coaches with internationally recognised qualifications.

At Warriors Gym they teach authentic Muay Thai and K1. Their facility is equipped for your training needs, They ensure safe training for competition, fitness and efficient self defence. All new clients begin in their fundamentals program and progress from there as the basics of Thai boxing are learned. Don't worry they won't throw you in the ring to spar. You can come to class and learn technical skills and get a great workout without doing full sparring.
Spartan Boxing Fitness
The Spartan Boxing Fitness Workout uses techniques and training regimes that professional boxers and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Fighters use to get the fit, safely cut weight and become stronger for their bouts. They have combined these exercises into fitness programs that are safe for the mainstream exercise devotee.
