Dublin’s iconic Moving Crib opens this summer for the first time as a unique museum experience, welcoming visitors from 3rd June at 42 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1.

A cherished part of Dublin’s Christmas tradition for almost 70 years, the Moving Crib has been refreshed and now presents an expanded world of mechanical figures, vintage treasures, historical artefacts and fascinating stories for visitors to explore beyond the festive season.

For generations, it has been known for its imaginative moving displays and storytelling scenes. This new summer opening offers a rare opportunity to experience the attraction in a new way, blending nostalgia, history and eccentric charm for tourists and visitors of all ages.

Highlights include Fred the Hero Dog, an original 1800s dolls’ house, and a wide range of mechanical figures and curiosities from the collection.
